Grupo Pantaleon recognizes the importance of making sustainability a core pillar of its business model. Through its Responsible Development strategy, it is committed to implementing a long-term business vision that integrates business management, the overall well-being of people, environmental care, and the social environment.

Extensionism Program

We recognize the importance of working hand in hand with our cane suppliers to ensure the sustainability of our value chain. With this vision, the Extension Program was created to improve productivity and enhance the living conditions of more than 7,400 cane growers at the Pánuco and El Mante mills in Mexico.

Water for All Program

We firmly believe that access to clean water is an essential element for the health and overall well-being of every person. With this vision, the Water for All Program was launched in 2014 to support communities in Chinandega, Nicaragua, through the installation of potable water supply systems in cooperation with local entities and strategic partners. The program also provides training to community members on proper use and effective management of the system to ensure the project’s long-term sustainability.

Responsible Supply Chain Program

Seeking to strengthen our value chain, in 2014 we launched the Responsible Supply Chain Program in Guatemala. This initiative provides guidance and support to sugarcane producers to help them improve compliance in labor practices, occupational health and safety, environmental stewardship, and human rights. The program was replicated in Nicaragua beginning in 2021.

Enactus Pantaleon Bootcamp

At Pantaleon, we believe that entrepreneurs can drive development and economic growth through the creation of ideas and new businesses. That is why we seek to foster new skills and transfer knowledge to strengthen the business models of early-stage entrepreneurs, creating the leading acceleration program for agricultural innovation ventures.
