At Pantaleon we seek to contribute to the well being of the communities that encompass our mills. One of the community development projects we offer is the soccer school Nido Águila, a collaboration with Mexico’s Club America. Nido Águila works to promote physical activity as well as a safe and healthy environment for kids and adolescents; the program also focuses in topics such as integrity and values.
In 2017, 150 boys and 10 girls between the ages of 4-10 participated in the soccer school where they received training in accordance with Club America’s methodology. The kids engaged in activities to conserve the environment and high levels of academic achievement were promoted. The training takes place in the premises of Pánuco Mill in areas designated for the soccer school.
The teams participated in two Inter-Nido tournaments in Mexico City, and organized a local tournament with over 200 participants in the area.
