Pantaleon participated in the Regional Policy Dialogue “Women, Productivity, and Growth,” organized by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), which took place on July 21 and 22, 2026, in Panama City.
During the event, we shared our experience in developing initiatives that promote women’s participation in operational roles traditionally held by men. These programs combine technical training, skills development, and ongoing support to facilitate their entry and professional growth within the agribusiness sector.
Among these initiatives is the Women Protagonists School – Machinery Operators, through which women from communities near our operations have received training to work as tractor and agricultural machinery operators. In addition to expanding their employment and professional development opportunities, the program strengthens their capabilities, economic autonomy, and participation in an important productive activity within their communities.
Pantaleon’s experience demonstrates that recognizing women’s talent and facilitating their access to employment opportunities benefits individuals, strengthens work teams, and contributes to the productivity and competitiveness of our operations.
Our participation in this regional dialogue provided an opportunity to exchange experiences and reflect on the role of companies in creating conditions that enable greater participation of women in the economy.
