Our program Harvesting Skills Transforming Lives was chosen among the four finalists for the Corporate Citizen of the Americas (CCA) award. This Award was given by the Trust of the Americas at an event held on Monday, December 4th in Washington D.C. The Award´s focus was the development of human capital in the region.

Our program creates customized technical training schools that improve the technical skills of our workers in specialized agricultural positions and teach the skills needed by people in surrounding communities so that they can apply for jobs within the agroindustry. To date, we have benefited more than 4,000 workers, with 96% of them opting for more technical and higher paying positions. Due to the excellent results, in 2022 we expanded the program to teach people from communities on the Southern Coast of Guatemala, to date 367 of them have been employed by Pantaleon and other companies in the area. Our Community Training Schools have a strong focus on gender equality, supporting the inclusion of women in a sector historically dominated by men. Out of all the women trained, 84% are currently employed. Learn more about our program here!
