We utilize state-of-the-art technology to maximize the use of natural resources, particularly water. Our efforts yield sweet rewards that are recognized worldwide. The good practices related to water usage at Ingenio Monte Rosa were recently published in the Growing News magazine by the Austrian company Bauer Rainstar.
In the sustainable process we have designed, 50% of the industrial water is reused for irrigation after solids are removed and it is conveyed through open channels to the sugarcane fields. This means that every drop of water we used is employed twice: 1. For the industrial sugarcane process and 2. For the irrigation of our sugar plantations.
Just like water, we flow towards achieving our goal of promoting sustainable development.
